Artist's Comments

This is an update of the original drawing I made of Anubis from the movie Stargate. I as inspired by the piece drawn by ~immanuel and used his image as a referency to draw my own. My version is supremely inferior to the ~immanuel's rendering of this character from Stargate. I made many mistakes with the original and with this second attempt but I wanted to give it a try. I am new to drawing such complicated pictures as this Anubis. I haven't taken any art classes before and I wanted to practice drawing something difficult. This is my first attempt.

I may make more Jaffa for the other Egyptian gods but I am not certain yet. If I decide to make the others, this Jaffa is for both Ra and Anubis.

Very nice, You did great on the shading on details!! And who cares if someone else came up with it, you drew it, its your art.

Nice to finally see some stargate fanart on here too thats so good.

Thank you for your compliment. If you like Stargate, stay tuned because I am drawing a new Stargate piece that is original. I actually dreamt it. I hope to have it finished in the next two or three days and I'll be posting it as soon as I finish it.

You really have a way with shading, and with representing different types of surfaces -- and this piece showcases that fact very well! You've put a lot of thought into the detail of this jaffa, and it paid off :)

Thank you, but on my own I don't think I am very good. I always have to look at something else as a reference. It is rather difficult and I am not as good as many other artists or as good as I hope to be. But none the less, thank you very much for the compliments. :)
